Watch Out – Santa’s on the Run!

Entries are pouring in for this year’s Eastbourne Santa Fun Run & Walk which is taking place on Sunday 6th December 2015 starting at 1.30 pm with all funds raised going to help the vital work of the charity MYAWARE.

Last year saw 400 Santas “jingling all the way” along the seafront from the Sovereign Centre to Holywell Tea Chalet, a distance of 3 miles, where all finishers were rewarded with a hot drink and mince pie.

A fantastic £15,500 was raised by all those taking part and the organisers are hoping for a new record this year. All participants this year will get their very own 5 piece Santa suit, including beard, to wear on the day and keep.

To take part go to or call Steve on 01323 404066 where you can get all the information.

Myaware is the new name for the charity formerly known as the Myasthenia Gravis Association. Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a rare, neuro-muscular condition that affects about 10,000 people in the UK. There is no existing cure and control by medication is the best that can be done.

Myaware is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people diagnosed with MG and with Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome. As well as providing help to Myasthenics and their families, friends and carers through local branches, myaware also works to raise awareness of this disease both among the public and the medical professions, and raises funds for research into finding a cure.
