Add some sizzle to your Saturdays at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne

Enjoy alfresco dining with a difference this summer at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne’s weekly Jazz Barbeques on the Terrace.

Taking place every Saturday from 1 July to 9 September at the five-star coastal hotel, the summer dining events have become so popular that they are now known locally as simply ‘Saturdays on the Terrace’.

The barbeques will take place between 12pm and 2.30pm every week on the hotel’s stunning Chatsworth Terrace. Sumptuous dishes on offer include the ‘Grand Platter’, which features a rosemary-marinated lamb chop, marinated chicken breast and Cumberland-seasoned pork sausage, all served hot from the grill.

Lighter options include salmon or chicken Caesar salad or chargrilled halloumi and Mediterranean vegetable brochette.

After the BBQ has been served, guests can choose between two suitably summery sweets – passionfruit-infused fruit salad, served in half a pineapple, or a strawberry Eton mess.

While guests are enjoying their meals, and basking in the great British sunshine, they will be well and truly entertained with a live performance from the Niagara Jazz Band – during which dancing is optional but greatly encouraged.

Jonathan Webley, general manager at The Grand Hotel commented: “The return of our Jazz BBQs on the Terrace events has been much anticipated by both our local and residential guests and we look forward to welcoming them all over the summer. Eastbourne is the UK’s sunniest town, basking in over 1,700 hours of sunshine a year, making The Grand the perfect place for a lazy summer afternoon of music and dining.”

The Jazz Barbeques on the Terrace at The Grand costs £25 per person including two courses and a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade each. A children’s menu is also available for £15 per person.
