The Neil Diamond Story – The life of a legend in song…
Life on the road can be a lonely business and after touring with his one-man show for the past five years, Bob Drury is now enjoying doing a limited number of theatre performances with his band with an all-new show called ‘The Neil Diamond Story’ which is coming to the Capitol Theatre in Horsham on Sunday 21st May.
The show tracks Neil’s remarkable journey from unknown and struggling New York songwriter to international mega-star and includes music from every stage of a staggering and hit-filled music career spanning five decades. ‘Solitary Man’, ‘Cracklin’ Rosie’, ‘Sweet Caroline’, ‘Love on The Rocks’, ‘America’, ‘Hello Again’, ‘I Am I Said’, and more.
Undoubtedly one of the UK’s finest vocal tributes to Neil Diamond, Bob has performed the songs for a number of years as part of his Neil Diamond tribute shows throughout the UK and overseas, most recently performing for the American Neil Diamond Fan Club in Nashville, Tennessee and in Las Vegas. He has been described as the UK’s ‘voice of Neil’ and is featured in the movie ‘Diamond Mountain’ due for release later this year.
Bob will also be joined on stage in Horsham by his daughter Harriett who recently graduated with a music degree. Together they perform a show-stopping version of the iconic Neil Diamond-Barbra Streisand classic ‘You Don’t Bring Me Flowers’.
The show starts at 7.30pm on Sunday, 21st May. Tickets are £20 available from the Box Office on 01403 750220 or online at www.thecapitolhorsham.com
