THE HAWTH YOUTH THEATRE IS HERE

Body

The Hawth Youth Theatre began in September this year and is proving to be a great success. Led by theatre professional Sarah Slator, the weekly sessions explore all aspects of theatre, including acting, voice and movement and run on Thursdays at 5pm (11-14 years) and 7.15pm (15-18 years).

On Thursday (26 November) the Worshipful the Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Chris Cheshire paid a visit to the Junior Youth Theatre members who were busy rehearsing for their performance of Charles Dickens’ The Chimes on Thurs 10 December at 7.30pm. They will also be joined by the Senior members who will perform A Christmas Carol.

After the performance in December the Youth Theatre will be asking audiences to dig deep and donate to the Mayor’s Charities for 2015/16;  Crawley Community and Voluntary Service, which represents and offers support to all voluntary groups in the town, and the Springboard Project. The community group aims to support disabled children and young people to enjoy active social lives, which helps build life skills and independence, enhancing wellbeing.

Tickets for The Chimes and A Christmas Carol are on sale now from The Hawth Box Office on 01293 553636 and online at www.hawth.co.uk.
