MOD Pizza, known for its superfast pizza and salads as well as making a positive impact in the communities it serves, is teaming up with 26 different charities across the US and UK to support at- risk youths and families. The Brighton ‘MOD Squad’ are teaming up with ongoing partner-charity Rocking Horse to spread MODness with. MOD’s annual Spreading MODness campaign, celebrating “Gratitude with Attitude”, will take place from 22-27 November, 2016, during which time the company will donate up to £1.00 of every pizza purchase across all MOD locations in the U.S. and U.K.  This year, the company expects to donate over $250,000 from fundraising both in the US and the UK to 175 different charities during MODness week.

As part of the impressive business’ people-led culture, MODs employees, ‘The MOD Squad’ are at the heart of the business’ growth and charitable endeavours. MODness week gives thanks to its ‘MOD Squad’, by encouraging them to give back to local communities, cherishing non-profit charities through in-store fundraising initiatives and engaging customer activity. The gratitude and success of the week creates humbling and inspiring stories amongst the team and local communities, raising awareness and donations for chosen charities.

Coinciding with MODs 8th Birthday, this year celebrates the fourth year of Spreading MODness, and the first year that the UK will be involved in the activity. Passionate about spreading MODness and giving back, “MOD is focused on using our business as a platform to make a positive social impact,” says Ally Svenson, MOD co-founder; “The week is special to us because it falls on our eighth birthday. But rather than celebrate ourselves, this is the time when we spotlight the ripple effect of ‘simply doing the right thing’- taking care of one another and our communities. Spreading MODness is about being a force for good.”

In the US, MOD are partnering with a staggering 175 non-profit charities in celebration of MODness week, an achievement MOD UK aims to mirror in the future with its on-going expansion across the UK. The expansion includes the opening of their UK flagship branch in London’s Leicester Square on 8th December 2016.
