Hilton London Gatwick Airport named Green Business of the Year Award by Gatwick Diamond Business
Hilton London Gatwick Airport has been honoured with Gatwick Diamond Business’ Green Business of the Year Award 2018. The award, which was announced on March 15, celebrates people and businesses who show innovation and inspiration in their work, and demonstrate a real commitment to the Gatwick region.
“We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award”, said Elliott Porter, chief engineer, Hilton London Gatwick Airport. “Receiving this award is an honour for the whole team as it confirms the depth of our hard work, dedication and commitment to become a sustainable hotel in the area by reducing our carbon footprint.”
“Hilton London Gatwick clearly demonstrated a determination not to let the grass grow under their feet as they keep moving forward and improving” said Councillor Geraint Thomas of Crawley Borough Council. “With a broad range of practical advances across the business and a focus on developing a sustainability culture amongst their workforce, this award recognises their achievements – and ability to demonstrate them to the wider world – and their genuine commitment.”
Hilton London Gatwick Airport has best demonstrated overall environmental management, and delivered real improvements including carbon and sustainability performance by their companywide recognized recycling programme, impressive energy savings, and sustainability culture amongst their team.
2018 was the tenth year of the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards. The Awards celebrate people and businesses who have shown innovation and inspiration in their work, and have demonstrated a real commitment to the sub-region.
