Edinburgh Festival smash hit comes to The Grand Eastbourne for one night only
On Friday 29 April, for one night only, The Grand Hotel Eastbourne will present the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe smash hit – Dial Medicine for Murder. An hour long exploration into two of the world’s most notorious physicians, Dr Harold Shipman and Dr John Bodkin Adams, the performance will dissect and decipher what drove these men from medicine to murder.
The chilling stories will be brought to life by leading forensic psychologist Dr Andrew Johns and general practitioner Dr Harry Brunjes, who will take the audience through the careers and crimes of Shipman and Bodkin Adams. The pair are alleged to have been responsible for over 400 deaths between them throughout their careers, including hundreds of wealthy, elderly patients in Eastbourne.
The evening will begin at 7pm with a welcome drink served in the hotel’s drawing room followed by a three-course meal of Sussex smoked salmon roulade, dry aged Scottish beef sirloin and banana and praline meringue served in the stunning ballroom.
Guests at the event will get the unique opportunity to delve into the minds and psychology of both Shipman and Bodkin Adams, performed and presented alongside original film footage and news items, bringing the well-known stories to life.
