CHICHESTER CAMPSITE WINS AA AWARD

Body

The AA has today announced the winners of the coveted AA Caravan and Camping Awards for 2016 including Concierge Camping in Chichester which has been named AA Campsite of the Year for the South East 2016.  With caravan and camping holidays still increasingly popular winning an AA award is great recognition for all the successful sites.

Developing this stunning new park in a field adjoining their house has been a labour of love for Tracey and Guy Hodgkin who have invested £350k to create a first-class small park for 15 units. Opening in June 2015, it has been an immediate hit with those who seek a touch of luxury while staying close to Chichester, Goodwood, West Wittering beach and the South Downs. Everything is top spec, from very spacious, fully-serviced pitches and the reception (replete with a shop stocking local produce, coffee and drinks, late-arrival and breakfast hampers) to the state-of-the-art amenities block painted in a smart Farrow & Ball green and displaying the Concierge Camping logo on the glass doors. Even electric cars can be hired. The hotel-standard toilets have the ‘wow’ factor – Ratham Estate toiletries, piped radio, full-length mirrors, smart partitioning, ultra-efficient rain showers, air-blade hand driers, stylish washbasins with top-spec temperature controls, and an excellent family/disabled room. Excellent decking with LED lighting, smart seating and barbecues complete the picture here. It may be new but this exciting and very impressive park really deserves the AA’s campsite award for the South East.

The award winners all feature in the new edition of the best-selling AA Caravan and Camping Guide.  With details of 900 fully inspected and rated caravan and campsites throughout the United Kingdom, this updated guide is a must have for anyone planning a trip away in a caravan, motorhome or tent.
