Ashdown Park’s head chef stars in The Great British Cook Book
Head chef at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club Andrew Wilson is representing the South East with a featured recipe in the hotly anticipated second edition of The Great British Cook Book, which launched on Monday 3 October, at Le Cordon Bleu in London.
Andrew will be appearing alongside some of the most well-known chefs in the country in the cookbook, including Levi Roots and Tom Aikens. His recipe for an indulgent beef wellington is an example of the traditional British fine-dining that can be enjoyed in Ashdown Park’s award-winning Anderida Restaurant.
This is the second published edition of The Great British Cookbook, which brings together 200 chefs from 10 regions of the UK, following the exceptional success of the first edition in 2014. Sales of the book will be raising money for two chosen charities; Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospitality Action.
Commenting on his achievement ahead of the launch of the book, Andrew Wilson said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have my recipe selected to appear in the Great British Cook Book alongside some of the most prestigious chefs and restaurants in the industry. Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospitality Action are both incredible charities doing truly amazing work and it as an honour to know that my recipe will go some way towards helping them continue that work.”
The Great British Cook Book is available to buy from today and is on sale at Ashdown Park Hotel. For more information please visit thegreatbritishcookbook.co.uk.
